Because I’m pretty bad off financially I’m opening commissions~
HOW:
Email me on rumiana_ruseva@ymail.com with what type of commission you want, the more detailed your explanation, the better (what the characters are wearing, what they’re doing, expressions, accessories etc)
After I accept your inquiry I’ll send you a sketch and if you approve it, you pay me and I get it done. You can tell me to change whatever you want in the sketch if you don’t like something
I’ll draw pretty much anything, though if it’s not human or humanoid, we’ll have to discuss the price (exept the AC ones) NSFW commissions info can be found HERE
Thank you in advance!
Yesterday I found out I’m gonna need to pay 150euro for a con table in Germany so this just got extra urgent (i need to get plane tickets and shit too and it’s gonna be my first tabling outside of my country so I’m kinda panicked)
If you can reblog it would also be a big help and if you can commission me you’re saving my ass
((ooc but I’m gonna put it here bc I’m pretty desperate))
Dusting off the commission’s post a bit, hopefully making it more attractive, the prices remain the same, so does the conditions. Currently on the most uptight financial situation of my life due to the economic crisis in the country, therefore any contribution is appreciated.
Sketches – Bust: 5$ // Full Body: 8$
Digitally Inked Lineart – Bust: 10$ // Full Body: 15$
Lineart/Flatcolors –Bust: 15$ // Full Body: 20$
Lineart/Cellshading – Bust: 20$ // Full Body: 25$
Lineart/Digital Painting-Bust: 25$ // Full Body: 35$
This are the base prices, they might go up if the request is too complicated or down depending on your personality.
The criteria of drawing more than one character would be doubling the price, but it also depends on the complexity of the request.
My artwork is DIGITAL, which means you are paying of the digital drawing. I won’t be sending Prints or sketches; I don’t mind you printing the art, for non-commercial use only.
I won’t be displaying the final pieces online if you don’t want to, but I would use them for personal purposes if feel like to.
I am still backlogged as FUCK but I need to recoup an overcharge to my bank account before another charge hits i and I am slain with feest, so these are kind of a small emergency and the PWYW tarot readings are going nowhere.
Please message me via tumblr messenger OR email at sobeknotsobek@gmail.com. Must have drawn refs, no descriptions! Refs must be accurate, I do not make free edits for details the commissioner fails to disclose. Can draw furries. Don’t do a lot of mecha, will decide case-by-case. Fanart is case-by-case too!
Commissions are otherwise closed until I clear my queue. I hate doing this when other folks are still waiting on their stuff but I am in a tough spot!
Attention non-artists who commission artists: don’t fuckin do this???
Actually had someone do this to me too. Was doing a art stream, it took me over 2 hours to do his inked commission, he got a refund cause ‘it took too long’ that he figured I wasn’t going to do it after I gave him the file.
Don’t do this. Do not.
I’ve had this happen to me with a $350 comic I had already finished it, it was full color, 6 panels and had a full bg in every panel. I was lucky in that I didn’t spend him money yet, but it left me without funds. I’ve also had the above happen to me as well.
Don’t do this shit to artists. We’re people too. Drawing for you is more than a hobby. It’s a job.
Use Paypal Invoices.
I cannot stress this enough. That shit helps A LOT when it comes down to Paypal refunds/disputes.
There’s a description box that let’s you put in what the product is/how long it’ll take/yadda yadda, and then there’s another little memo box that only you and paypal can see where you can say it’s a digital commission and doesn’t require shipping (So Donald Mcfuck can’t say that they never got their commission).
And there’s also a box for your Terms & Conditions where you can say, if you have any conflicts/want a refund – email me, or you can actually tell the user that this is a digital commission and they won’t be getting a hard copy of it.
ARTISTS. PLEASE USE PAYPAL INVOICES. it will SAVE you. And to: the people who do this to artists – Fuck you. It’s okay if you change your mind and want a refund. But freaking TALK to us and let us know what’s going on. Let us WORK with you.
ALSO A HUGE TIP: Invoices paid will automatically set up a shipping notice which, if not fulfilled, can land you in SERIOUS hot water with PayPal. Since a lot of artists don’t print and ship the commissions, this is a huge problem.
However! Totally manageable. Just go to your PayPal, scroll down to find Seller Preferences
>> Shipping Preferences
>> Display Ship Button. Make sure all the boxes are unchecked. Then you’re all set!
As a big supporter of artists, don’t you ever fucking dare fuck over an artist like that. Like don’t. And if they take their time to do a good job, don’t shit all over them for it! Don’t be a fucking ass hole. Just don’t. These people put a LOT of work and time and effort into their artwork. Just don’t be that guy. Often times these artists aren’t even getting what they deserve in compensation.
I am very grateful my customers have been good to me, but I’m spreading the word.
I’ve been studying the classic black tie dress code (mainly from here) so I thought I could share my notes. Maybe they can be helpful to someone else, too. If I made any mistakes or things are really confusing please tell me. I also have some notes on white tie which I could share as well…
Artist friends, let me just tell you a thing. FUCK Wacom. Fuck Wacom and their planned obsolescence, fuck Wacom and their broken drivers, fuck Wacom and their over-priced tablets. For years we’ve dealt with them with no alternatives but let me tell you a thing.
I recently found out my Intuos 4′s Pen had broken and rather than spend £60-89 for a new one I decided to get a new tablet. Now, I could get the new “Intuos” (which is just the re-branded Bamboo) and i was going to until I found this beast.
This is the Huion
H610, it has almost twice the drawing space of the low-end Intuos and double the pressure levels. The one and only negative is that the pen requires a battery.
Not only that, it is larger than my Intuos 4 which I paid £150 for back in the day. Know how much this cost? £55. The same as the basic Intuos.
I am in LOVE with this thing. Let’s compare this with the lowest of the low end Wacom Intuos line.
Intuos Huion
Active Area: 6 by 3.7 in 10" x 6.25"
Pressure Levels:
1024 2048
Hard Input Res: 2540 LPI 4000 LPI
Express Keys:
4 8
Not to mention the Intuos is HIDEOUS with buttons that are in incredibly awkward places.
The fact that a £55 matches and exceeds the £150 Intuos 4 I bought years ago speaks worlds. And do you know what the very final nail in the coffin is?
THE DRIVERS. ACTUALLY. WORK.
It’s time Wacom had some real competition in the market, if you’re looking for a new tablet please consider a Huion over a Wacom. I used to be a Wacom fanboy too but now?
All I can find is good reviews on this thing and people doing the same thing I am doing, trying to convince people it’s worth it. So… You have the information, use it as you will.
Fck. I didn’t know they all did this. I thought I was getting a deal buying a Wacom but the driver refused to update after about a year and the pen died around the same time and replacing the pen was nearly as much as a whole new tablet so I bought a different brand. I ended up getting the Huion H610 shown above and it was definitely worth it. Other broke artists please save yourself the headache
I’m not an artist, but just a small correction for OP: it’s actually almost 3x the space. Each dimension is almost 2x as long, but the AREA is about 2.8x bigger. So you’re underselling it by saying it’s twice as big.
please get yourself a huon instead of a wacom
I bought a huion a while back and it’s pretty great.
I also have a Huion, and it’s served me well for quite a few years so far!
For reference, I have the GT-220, and it is absolutely incredible. I thought I’d never be able to have a tablet with a screen in it unless I shelled out £1500+ for an Intuos, and although I tried using a Bamboo, I just couldn’t get along with it, and I just assumed that that would be my life. I could either choose to draw well using traditional means, or I could have the ease of editing and correction that comes with digital art, but not both. There’s no way I ever could afford an Intuos.
But then I found this fucking thing, and now I can have my cake and eat it too because I’m drawing on the same surface that I’m looking at, but I’m also able to have the luxury of digital drawing and editing. It’s amazing! I’m delighted with it, and Huion’s customer service is fantastic, too. I’ve had driver issues once or twice, because Windows 10, of course I have, but they’ve been able to solve the problem quickly and painlessly every time.
I can’t recommend Huion enough.
I recently started using a Huion 680S myself after three (3) of my last Wacom tablets crapped out on me, all of them from frayed wires. And while I don’t regret the decision, I did want to mention that Huion tablets are a BITCH to get started. I had a hell of a time getting the drivers installed, and had to reinstall an older version of SAI because the newer one (with transparency) refused to work with it.
So while it’s a great alternative if you’re looking to break free from Wacom’s monopoly and works fine once you get it running, be prepared to wrestle with it first.
I feel like it would be cheating to use it in actual comic work, put I think its great to give coloring ideas. It even recognized the wet hair in the last picture
I have mixed feelings about this.
Reblogging this here as well for these who are interested.
This program DOES make nice coloring.
HOWEVER I wouldn’t recommend to use it as the only coloring method though because it makes you dependant on it.
However it DOES give good ideas on how you can view and improve coloring.
