WOW, you’re getting good at eyes and expressions. I love the Jubilee and Gambit especially. I love the body you give Jubilee and the details on Remy’s costume.
Aw! Thanks so much!
well, I drew something based on several of your suggestions but, for some damn reason, the scanner isn’t working. *sigh*.
So, tonight I’m riding back home on the train- sketching as per usual and about 20 minutes into my commute I feel this gentle tap on my shoulder. The gentleman who’s been sitting directly behind gestures towards my drawing and says:
‘That’s really great!’
so I probably turn eight shades of purple and stammer ‘thank you’ at which point he asks me:
‘are you an industry professional?’
I shake my head no
‘An art student?’
‘Um, at one point’ (like 11 years ago. thank you again, random stranger!)
‘You really don’t draw comics?’
‘I mean, I do, but nothing is published’
‘Oh? I ask because I worked in the industry for 10 years’
*dumbfounded stare on my part*
‘Darkhorse?’
*I am now technicolor*
‘Well, this is my stop! If I see again maybe we can talk shop!’
I have never been so thankful that I wasn’t drawing porn.
I would have loved that rogue. I have Kitty, Jubilee and Laura, and just picked up x-force psylocke though.
They had that Rogue at my local comic shop a few years back and I passed on her. I so regret it. The Betsy figure is amazing. The pose, the way her skin stretches is super realistic too. It’s just very thoughtfully made.
You know, just once, I’d like to hear back from an art job I applied to. Even if it’s just to say ‘no’.
Changed my icon to cartoon me for giggles. We’ll see how long this lasts.
