It’s really weird when art I posted years ago pops up again and gets reblogged a million times.

There’s no way for me to say ‘I like Kurt’s thighs’ without sounding like a total perv. lol

self-care is tricking your self-loathing brain into a roundabout form of self-love by intensely loving a fictional character you really relate to

AND TOLL
Yes! Quite tall. Unless we’re talking Christmas elves. They’re smol.

Who doesn’t like a fuzzy blue elf, right?!
I’m tired of being me. Time to be Kurt for a while.

Went on a bit of a tear on Twitter this morning.
These are also good words.
Cape comics as an industry is, frankly, an object lesson in living long enough to see yourself become the villain. I mean look at what these characters were originally about. Captain America, the crusader against racist ideology and supremacist ideas. Superman, the vaguely anti-capitalist strongman who destroyed the cars of petty bureaucrats in retaliation for unjust laws. Wonder Woman, the aggressively queer and feminist propagandist who flat out told little girls not to let men control them in any way.
This industry was built on the backs of rabble-rousing icons of change and revolution, and it’s now become a cripplingly fearful guardian of an oppressive status quo.
Reblogging for Bluefall’s excellent additional commentary.
