I always cry myself to sleep when I make this mistake but a friend recently taught me how to do this and it blew my mind so I thought I would share with you guys.
Uuuuuuh reblogging this to save LIVES
god i could have used this the other day. đĄ
*tears*
I think Iâve reblogged this before but itâs worth another!
I got a request to do a tutorial on how to create galaxies! Well, here you go!! Painting galaxies is so much fun, and can be really calming. So have fun!!Â
If you have any questions or if I made a mistake, feel free to message me!
easiest thing is probably to widen the shoulders and up the muscle mass! it really helps to study anatomy so you know which areas to exaggerate. a more muscular/masculine person will have a more defined sternocleidomastoid (in blue) and bigger traps (green); basically a thicker neck. playing with the shoulder to hip ratio will help as well. i guess if you want a super manly man just make him look like a dorito
Spudfuzz on Deviantart made the original resource, which I modified to be a bit more realistic. She gave me permission to post this.
âThese swatches, like all art resources, should be used as a âjumping off point!â All colours are relative, and change with lighting conditions. As they are now, these swatches work best for adoptables, character lineups, and other art where local colour is important. â
No more melted tomblerones or mising skulls, yyeann!
This is my basic process for pretty much everything I draw. The key is understanding the shape of the garment youâre trying to draw and the shape of the body part youâre putting it on.
Drawing the body first forces you to make the shoe, hat, or clothes fit that body. With practice youâll be able to skip some steps. This method works the same no matter the perspective or pose. It just relies on your knowledge of what a hat looks like from above, or what the bottom of a shoe looks like. When in doubt, just google refs. Donât necessarily need the exact angle youâre trying to draw. Look at different pics to give you an idea of how it works in 3d.
Shoes are always a bit tricky because feet are a stupid ass shape.
It might help if you think of hats as a cylinder fitted to the personâs head to help you get the perspective right before you push in detail. note: heads arenât circles. theyâre kind of egg shaped if you look at them from the top.
A few peeps were wondering how I drew attacks in my nuzlocke comic, so I made a quick/kinda sloppy tutorial about it! Tbh itâs just me spamming luminosity and overlay layers haha ;yyy Hope this somewhat helps!
THE FUTURE OF ART REF FOR ARTISTS! AAAHH SKETCHFABIS FINALLY UP AND RUNNING!
the resource for rotating 3D models, everything from 3D scans of human beings, to eroche anatomy sculptures, 3D models anybody can use and move around to reference and learn from! this is how youâre REALLY supposed to learn, if you donât have a model to observe in real life this is as good as youâll get!
some of them are really high resolution, itâs fantastic! 3D scans of people is a good tag to start with but you can go check out anything!
