Not sure, honestly. I’m going to try to keep an open mind but that’s what I did with the New 52 and it bit me in the ass.

Marvel Comics has pulled the trigger – SECRET WARS will result in the end of the Marvel Universe as fans know it.On today’s episode of ‘hyperbolic announcements by Marvel that literally no one is actually surprised by’….
Things I’m expecting:
- Good Tony Vs Evil Tony showdown
- 616 Old!Steve making a heroic sacrifice to make room for a re-powered Steve from some universe or another
- Miles Morales, aka the only profitable thing to come out of the Ultimates universe, is very much sticking around
- Rebooted Thor. Let’s be real. I think we all knew lady Thor was short for this world.
- At least one set of AU heroes being race or genderbent versions of their 616 counterparts because diversity
Things I know I’ll never see in a million years and are lost opportunities:
- The end of the 616 verse being caused by the Marvel Zombie Apocalypse. (There is literally a zombie Marvel universe.)
- No Ape-Vengers. Serious AU’s only
- Billy Kaplan. Just, talk about the most obvious reason for multiverse collapse….
I’m honestly less dubious about this than I thought I would be, though I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve lowered my expectations so much or if I’m actually interested.
Well, this is boring and frustrating (goodbye, Lady Thor! Farewell, Sam Wilson As Captain America! So long every young X-Man I actually give a ripe fart about, because I doubt most of you will make it through to the other side!)
If you’re not certain of your favorite character’s place in the new Marvel Universe, clap your hands.
