Okay. I’m gonna try this again. Wicked + Divine spoiler-y talk below the cut

So I get the feeling (and perhaps it’s just my eternally optimistic side?) that we’ve not seen the last of Laura. The fact that she continued to narrate after her death (granted it was a short while but still!) makes me think she might pop up later. And I also think it would be one hell of a coincidence that she manifested as Persephone and the only other god that’s bit the big one (so far) has been Lucifer. I’m hoping the two underworld gods come back and kick Ananke‘s shrived butt. Unless this is just some long con by Ananke to get Luci and Laura where they need to be then her shriveled butt can stay un-kicked.

Ah, yes. Once I thought about it, I figured that’s what you meant. There may be a grain of truth to Jeannie. His life then and his wife might also be complete fiction. I think he’s probably damaged to a point where he really doesn’t know who the hell he was before that chemical bath. I prefer not knowing. Giving him an origin ruins the mystery.

The major issue I have with that origin is a lot of people use it as an excuse for what he does now, which is preposterous as well as showing they missed the entire point of The Killing Joke. The punch line is Gordon doesn’t go mad. He’s stronger than Joker. Joker thinks one bad day can break you and Jim comes out of it and he’s still Jim.
