Art classes you mean? I’d take a figure drawing class and perhaps a 2D design class so you can learn about composition. If digital art is your thing I’d look into a Photoshop or Illustrator class to learn the basics (if you don’t already grasp them).

Draw every day if you can. Even if it’s only a little doodle. If you’re more of a DIY person then I’d say I spent a lot of time studying every art book I could get my hands on as a kid. Anything about comic art and/or figure drawing. The best advice I can give is to draw from life if you want to learn what the human body looks like. Take photos and draw from them. I am constantly taking photos of myself and using them for drawing references. If you like comic art then photos of fitness models are helpful. If you get hung up on a certain part (lots of people have trouble with hands and feet when they start out) draw it more. Don’t avoid it. You won’t learn that way.

Getting better at art takes time. Heck, I still screw up stuff constantly and I’ve been drawing for, um, a long time now. Don’t compare your progress to the progress of others. I’m serious. Gage your growth on how much you’ve improved compared to your old stuff. I’m not saying you can’t be inspired by other people but saying ‘oh, I’ll never be able to draw like so-and-so’ is self defeating.
