He’s a wealthy, handsome man that appears to have broad shoulders with his wings tucked in and, when not, has freakin’ cool angel wings!  The guy has everything going for him aside from an actual useful ability.  I think Xavier just keeps him around to help fund the school.  Anyway, given these attributes he could easily be characterized as a self-involved, arrogant jack ass, which would at least be interesting.  Instead, he just kinda…hangs out and chews the scenery.  When he became Archangel, that was cool in that he actually had useful powers and got moody.  But honestly, given all that was taken from him seeing how much he originally had, he should have been more than moody.  Following the event, he just kinda sulked and chewed the scenery some more.  Oh, and he also had a crush on Jean because, y’know, that’s something new.  I know you’re perfectly aware of all this; I’m just ranting.  Character never did anything for me.

He used to wear a harness to hide them. I think Xavier made it? See, the fact that he’s *not* an arrogant jackass (which would have been the obvious choice for the rich kid with angel wings) makes him more interesting to me. He could have just lived a life of luxury, inherited his dad’s business and had nothing to do with the hero schtick but instead he decided to be an X-Man and his only power (then) was flight! I think that’s pretty impressive, really. 

Also? Everyone had a crush on Jean- including Xavier (ew).
